Monaghan County Council wishes to advise the public that the Castleblayney/Keady Rd (R181) is closed just south of the border due to an overturned tanker. Northbound traffic is being diverted via Annyalla. A southbound diversion is being set up.

Road Closure- N24 Pill Road, Carrick-on-Suir, from 22nd to 27th Feb

Notice is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order to close the following road: Road to be closed: N24 Pill Road Carrick-on-Suir (at the Railway Bridge). Period of Closure: From 20.00 hrs on Wednesday 22nd February2017 to 08.00hrs on Monday 27th February 2017 (i.e. 24 hrs per day during school mid-term break) Alternative Routes: Traffic travelling from Carrick-on-Suir town centre towards Ballylynch/Tinvane area of Carrick-on-Suir & towards Pilltown/Mooncoin will be diverted from the N24 onto New Street Carrick-on-Suir & across Dillon Bridge and then follow the R680 to Fiddown Bridge and then rejoin the N24 at Fiddown, Co.Kilkenny. Traffic travelling from Ballylynch/Tinvane area of Carrick-on-Suir & from Pilltown & Mooncoin will be diverted off the N24 at Fiddown and across Fiddown Bridge onto the R680 towards Carrick-on-Suir and then across Dillon Bridge onto Main Street Carrick-on-Suir to rejoin the N24 at O’Mahoney Avenue miniroundabout in the town. The above diversion routes using the Regional Road R680 to cater for heavy vehicles will be clearly sign-posted. Other routes using local roads will be available but will not be signposted. The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate works by Irish Rail to replace the existing railway bridge in Carrick-on-Suir over the N24 with a new bridge at a higher level in order to reduce the number of bridge strikes that have occurred on a regular basis. Emergency access will be provided at all times within Carrick-on-Suir via a private link road between Cregg Road & Hawthorn Crescent. It is also planned to have a shuttle-bus service operating for pedestrians on this link road for period of the road closure.

Due to essential road maintenance, roadworks will be in place on Lower Patrick Street from Wednesday the 15th of February from 9.30am until 4.30pm Monday-Friday for a duration of 8 Weeks.
Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works.

ROAD CLOSURE N60 CASTLEREA TO BALLINLOUGH

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 75

ROADS REGULATIONS 1994, ARTICLE 12



Roscommon County Council has decided to close the road set out in the schedule hereunder for the period and the reason specified.  

Road to be closed:                          N60 from junction with R361 at Castlerea to junction with L1603 at Ballinlough. 

Period of Closure:                           From Thursday 16th February, 2017 to Friday 24th February, 2017 inclusive.



Alternative Routes:                        N60 Westbound traffic: R360 Ballymoe to Cloonfad via Williamstown, N83 Cloonfad to Ballyhaunis.

N60 Eastbound traffic will travel the reverse route.         



Reason for Closures:                      To facilitate 1km of Pavement Overlay works on the N60 at Arm townland, Castlerea.

Road closure L-2020 Clonkerdin

Waterford City & County Council wishes to advise that section of local road L-2020-1 at Clonderdon will be closed from Monday 20th Feb, 2017 to 27th Feb, 2017 to complete road drainage works. 

Diversions will be in place via L-6071 at Ballynameelagh/Scart and L-2019-2 at Whitechurch. 
HGV's heading westwards along L-2020 at Mapestown will be diverted via L-3103 Luskanargid towards N72.

Waterford City & County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during period of works.
